North Shuswap Area

Crowfoot Mountain Snowmobile Trails

The Crowfoot Mountain area is located along the north shore of Shuswap Lake near Celista. The snowmobile trails cover several mountains, including Crowfoot, Monashee, Pukeashun, Lichen and Grizzly (Fowler). The area's close proximity to Shuswap Lake provides spectacular views.

The area features intermediate to expert riding terrain through alpine and subalpine territory with many meadows, hills and cliffs. The area's elevation ranges between 1200 to 2250 meters (3940 to 7400 feet) and receives an abundance of powder of up to 4 metres (13 feet) deep. The sledding season is long, from November to May or even June, with March and April providing the best powder conditions.

The Crowfoot Snowmobile Club have a regular grooming program and maintains three excellent day-use chalets along 28 km (17.5 miles) of groomed and ungroomed marked trails.

Directions: Approx. 9.4 km west of Sorrento on Hwy 1, turn left onto Squilax-Anglemont Rd and follow it approx. 26 km to Celista. 2 km east of Celista, turn left onto Beguelin Rd and up the hill for 1.5 km.
